We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Front-End Engineer. You will develop high-quality web applications using a state-of-the-art technology stack in support of an emerging NMEC program. The DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program is a next generation platform utilizing AI to provide cutting edge data enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community partners. While most tasks are conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible work schedule and occasional remote work. The percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements/deliverables.</p><p></p><p>Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and possess a solid understanding of the software development life cycle all while working within an Agile framework.</p><p></p><p><b>You will work closely with end users, analysts, software and data engineers, and data scientists on the following key tasks:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain web applications using <b>ReactJS and Python</b>.</li><li>Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applications.</li><li>Implementing and refining user interfaces.</li><li>Conducting thorough unit testing via automated tooling.</li><li>Collaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usability.</li><li>Peer reviewing code written by fellow team members.</li><li>Utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and Podman.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>You bring enthusiasm and initiative while having the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience and meet the following qualification</b>s:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline, plus 4 - 8 years relevant experience.</li><li>Experience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS and/or Angular, with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.</li><li>Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.</li><li>Solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code.</li><li>A Top Secret level security clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>You will wow us even more if you have some of these:</b></p><ul><li>A genuine passion for creating great user experiences.</li><li>Experience with writing frontend unit tests.</li><li>Experience with writing backend web API services especially Python.</li><li>Experience coding in other languages such as Python.</li><li>Familiarity with NoSQL datastores such as Elasticsearch.</li><li>Familiarity with performance optimization techniques.</li><li>Up to date with emerging front-end technologies.</li></ul><p></p><p>#NMECDTP-Leidos</p><p></p><p></p><p><span>If youre looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
