Join us today and experience Life at Visa.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Visa Technology &amp; Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to</p><ul><li>Conduct business and technical analysis, code reviews, and unit testing.</li><li>Implement and produce technical documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and production support.</li><li>Design, develop, and implement modifications and corrections to existing software, including the development of debugging routines.</li><li>Regularly check into continuous integration of systems and/or software applications.</li><li>Participate in cross-functional teams, working with architects, systems analysts, project managers, QA and other developers to implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.</li><li>Work under direct supervision to ensure on-time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.</li><li>Utilize Public cloud infrastructure, load balancers, log monitoring, and S3 buckets.</li><li>Apply security fixes and carry out vulnerability remediation.</li><li>Actively collaborate with project teams and contribute innovative ideas from Hackathons.</li><li>Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Basic Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer related occupation.</li><li>Position requires experience in the following skills:</li><li>Designing and implementing High Availability applications with Disaster Recovery capabilities, involving tasks such as hardware provisioning, network configuration with load balancers and CDN;</li><li>Establishing CI/CD Pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins, Chef, and Ansible;</li><li>Developing automation solutions for DevOps tasks through coding and scripting, employing languages such as Groovy, Python, Shell Scripting, and YAML;</li><li>Setting up testing environments for automated testing of applications;</li><li>Implementing application monitoring tools, including detecting failures through Error Log monitoring, and monitoring website availability using tools such as Splunk, Catchpoint, and Dynatrace;</li><li>Administrating applications hosted on the Java-based Content Management System, Adobe Experience Manager;</li><li>Setting up instances, Load balancers, Log monitoring, and managing public cloud environment, S3 buckets;</li><li>Modernizing applications through containerization using Kubernetes and Docker;</li><li>Analyzing application performance using tools like JMeter and providing performance improvement solutions;</li><li>Applying security fixes, vulnerability remediation, and patching of application platform systems;</li><li>Engaging with various project teams to successfully execute deliverables; and</li><li>Participating in Hackathons.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong><u>Worksite:</u></strong> Austin, TX</p><p>This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
