Come build with us!Role and Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.</li><li>Design and document major units in a GPU pipeline targeted at mobile graphics applications and potentially other related markets.</li><li>Drive the functional and cycle simulators for GPU pipeline, and working with cross functional teams, including RTL design, modeling and software on various sub-blocks of the end solution.</li><li>Design and document major units in a GPU pipeline targeted at Mobile graphics and machine learning.</li><li>Develop functional and cycle simulators for GPU pipeline. Collect statistics to evaluate potential benefit of optimizations, prototype to test functional correctness and specify the scheme in detail for next level of implementation in hardware and/or software.</li><li>Collaborate with implementation, modeling, and software teams to define and develop microarchitecture, software implementation, and/or a verification plan.</li><li>Investigate alternate approaches for important GPU workloads, incremental optimizations, and rebalancing to maximize performance in future key workloads.</li><li>Work with software developers to understand important trends in future graphics and AI applications, problems faced by application and middleware developers.</li><li>Find and/or implement applications to exercise novel algorithms in drivers/hardware.</li><li>May work from home on hybrid schedule within a commutable distance of the worksite.</li></ul>Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:<ul><li>Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related occupation in each of the following: Mobile GPU graphics workloads and compute application workloads such as computer vision, image processing, AI and image compression; AI hardware and software architectures for computer vision, image processing, AI and image compression; Implementing advanced graphics rendering techniques, machine learning (AI) approaches; 3D Benchmark applications, rendering engines; APIs such as OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan, and other compute APIs; C++ and Python programming skills.</li></ul>Total RewardsAt Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $233,953.00 - $297,200.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more.
