This role serves as the primary point of contact and advisor for employees, managers, and internal stakeholders on complex immigration cases, implications, and relocation logistics. You will ensure a seamless, compliant, and positive experience for employees and their families throughout their mobility journey.</p> <p>You Will:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Immigration Strategy &amp; Compliance (Core Focus):</strong> Serve as the in-house expert on global immigration laws. Develop and implement immigration strategies. Manage the full lifecycle of global work permit, visa, and residency applications, coordinating with external legal counsel. Conduct immigration assessments, determine eligibility, and identify risks. Ensure robust compliance, maintaining meticulous records and audit trails. Monitor regulatory changes and advise on impacts.</li> <li><strong>Vendor Management &amp; Collaboration:</strong> Manage relationships with global mobility service providers (immigration firms, relocation companies, tax consultants). Collaborate and advise HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance, and Payroll to ensure streamlined processes.</li> <li><strong>Policy Interpretation &amp; Consultation:</strong> Interpret and apply global mobility and immigration policies, providing advice on various scenarios. </li> <li><strong>Reporting &amp; Analytics:</strong> Maintain accurate data in global mobility systems and HRIS. Generate reports and analyze mobility data to identify trends and measure program effectiveness.</li> <li><strong>Employee Experience:</strong> Provide exceptional customer service and empathetic support to builders and their families. </li> <li><strong>Program Development:</strong> Assist in developing and updating global mobility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance. Utilize AI / Automation to create efficiency in the programs. Assist in other HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned. </li> </ul> <p>You Have:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field.</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 3-5 years of progressive global mobility experience, with a significant portion dedicated to managing complex corporate immigration programs across multiple countries. Experience with a multinational corporation or a global mobility/immigration consulting firm is highly desirable.</li> <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong></li> <ul> <li>In-depth, practical knowledge of global immigration laws, processes, and visa types (e.g., H-1B, L-1, EAD, Permanent Residency for US; Intra-company transfers, Skilled Worker Visas for other regions).</li> <li>Strong understanding of global mobility principles, including compensation methodologies, tax equalization/protection, and international relocation logistics.</li> <li>Proficiency in HRIS systems like Workday, and other systems like GreenHouse, Zendesk. </li> </ul> <li><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal and policy information to a diverse audience.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of complex cases simultaneously under pressure.</li> <li>Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li> <li>Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Certifications (Preferred):</strong> Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) and/or Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) from Worldwide ERC®.</p><div><div><div><p>For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
