Software Engineer- AI Platform Core Components: Productization Job Summary The AI Platform Core Components organization, part of AI Engineering, is seeking individuals with a passion for open source and expanding the impact of Red Hat’s AI offerings for our customers and the community. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team of highly motivated software and quality engineers to design, implement, and maintain product delivery pipelines for our AI portfolio. What you will do <ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain product delivery pipelines, and automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability</li><li>Monitor productization processes and performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement enhancements</li><li>Diagnose and resolve issues in delivery pipelines, and assist with deployment troubleshooting</li><li>Integrate automated testing into the delivery pipeline to ensure code quality and reduce manual testing efforts</li><li>Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for productization processes, guidelines, and best practices</li><li>Apply security best practices to delivery pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards</li><li>Coach and mentor junior team members to help expand their expertise</li><li>Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to coordinate product releases and ensure smooth deployments</li><li>Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling</li><li>Proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality</li><li>Participate in AI-assisted code reviews, utilizing tools that provide real-time feedback, identify potential bugs, security vulnerabilities, and adherence to coding standards, contributing to a more thorough and efficient review process</li></ul>What you will bring<ul><li>Experience in software development using programming languages such as Python or Go, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Groovy</li><li>Hands-on experience implementing and managing delivery pipelines, with proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, or GitLab CI</li><li>Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or OpenShift</li><li>Demonstrated ability to implement and take ownership of complex features both independently and collaboratively</li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ability to adapt to and work in a fast-paced, agile environment with evolving technologies and processes</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field</li></ul> Bonus Skills<ul><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or IBM Cloud</li><li>Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible</li><li>Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Jenkins Engineer (CJE)</li><li>Understanding of open source development models</li><li>Experience with test-driven development (TDD), agile methodologies, and work-tracking tools such as Jira</li></ul>#LI-JC2#AI-HiringThe salary range for this position is $108,760.00 - $173,800.00.
