As a <b>Senior Manager of Software Engineering</b> focused on Data Solutions, you will lead high-performing engineering teams that build scalable, intelligent data products and platforms. You’ll be instrumental in shaping our data-first and AI-powered enterprise vision by driving engineering excellence across API focused products, data engineering, and delivery pipelines ensuring data validations along the way.</p><h3></h3><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li><p><b>Team Leadership &amp; Development</b></p></li><li><p>Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on building APIs and robust data platforms and services that power analytics, machine learning, and customer-facing applications.</p></li><li><p>Partner with Data Science, Product Management, and Architecture teams to define and execute a roadmap for data experience initiatives including building GraphQL APIs powered by Machine Learning Models, creating robust data pipelines and ingestions, and managing existing products geared towards standardizing different data streams.</p></li><li><p><b>Technical Strategy &amp; Execution</b><br />Oversee the design and implementation of software systems, APIs, and infrastructure supporting platforms like Manheim, Autotrader, and KBB. Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and maintainability standards.</p></li><li><p><b>Product Delivery</b><br />Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and capabilities. Balance usability, performance, and cost across product lifecycles.</p></li><li><p><b>Operational Excellence</b><br />Drive automation, CI/CD best practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles. Champion observability, reliability, and scalability across engineering disciplines.</p></li><li><p><b>Stakeholder Engagement</b><br />Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Product Engineering, and Analytics to align engineering efforts with business goals.</p></li></ul><h3><b>Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 8+ years of software engineering experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a masters degree and 6 years experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years experience; or 20 years experience in a related field.</li><li>3+ years in a software engineering management or leadership role.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in API development, data ingestion pipelines, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly with Snowflake.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices, and modern development practices.</li><li>Experience applying Generative AI in software development workflows.</li><li>Proven track record of managing engineering teams in agile environments.</li><li>Experience working with Hybrid teams, Offshore teams, and Onshore/Onsite Teams</li><li>Experience integrating Generative AI into software development practices</li><li>Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><h3><b>What Sets You Apart</b></h3><ul><li>Former developer now leading engineering teams</li><li>Obsessed with all things AI</li><li>Expresses extreme ownership of the products built by your teams</li><li>Ability to inspire and elevate engineering talent.</li><li>Experience working across diverse teams and global operations.</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Drug Testing</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
