It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.  Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Leads, mentors, and coaches Senior Software Engineers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the software engineering community</li><li>Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent</li><li>Directs and oversees the successful development, deployment, support, and monitoring of software across various environments</li><li>Leads multiple software product development teams to realize the companys technology vision and strategy in a scalable, iterative environment</li><li>Drives innovation and experimentation to deliver software solutions that meet or exceed customer and partner expectations</li><li>Shares technology domain expertise with architects and specialists across multiple organizations to enhance technical solutions</li><li>Ensures frictionless automated delivery processes and empowers teams to succeed at scale</li><li>Collaborates with business and technology partners to motivate change and execute product roadmaps</li><li>Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives</li></ul> Education and Knowledge<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred</li><li>Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases</li><li>Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)</li><li>Strong Experience in Agile development, code review, Workfront, AEM Assets &amp; AEM Sites (Cloud), AEP Platform (AJO), Python, Google Big Query, Rest API, CSS, HTML, Java, Javascript, React, Spring framework, Redis, Relational database, Cloud computing, UNIX and Web Services.</li><li>Moderate or higher skill in SOA, Restful, Asynchronous and Microservices technologies for large scale environments. </li><li>Strong understanding and experienced in CICD and DevOps</li><li>In depth knowledge of Customer Marketing technology ecosystem and related programs is preferred</li><li>Knowledge of American Express Marketing &amp; Data platforms a plus</li><li>The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills required, with ability to create and deliver effective presentations to executive leadership and technical architects across the organization is a plus.</li><li>Hands on experience with technology planning and road mapping</li><li>Proven track record to lead problem analysis and resolution</li></ul> Work Experience<ul><li>Software engineering and development experience or a related job</li><li>Must have 5+ years of hands-on and leadership experience</li><li>Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship</li><li>Experience in collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive software strategy and innovation</li><li>Expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing</li><li>Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases</li><li>Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories</li><li>Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)</li></ul> Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
