You’ll work alongside a world-class team of engineers, researchers, and designers to bring powerful AI agents to millions of users — transforming how people communicate, collaborate, and get work done.</span></p><p><br /><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Designing and implementing agent architectures capable of reasoning, planning, and executing multi-step tasks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Developing tool orchestration frameworks that enable agents to call APIs, use external tools, and coordinate workflows.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Building and maintaining guardrails, safety layers, and monitoring systems to ensure responsible and predictable agent behavior.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Implementing evaluation frameworks and metrics for assessing agent reliability, latency, and success rate.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Optimizing system infrastructure for scalability, low latency, and high availability across distributed environments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborating cross-functionally with product, research, and infrastructure teams to bring new </span><span>agentic</span><span> workflows into Zoom AI Companion.</span></p></li></ul><p><br /> </p><p><b>What we’re looking for </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, or a related field. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Have 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, and experience in backend/distributed system engineering</span></p></li><li><p><span>Be proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Rust</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrate proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Have a deep understanding of software architecture, observability, and performance optimization.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Have experience in building scalable, production-grade </span><span>agentic</span><span> products.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Salary Range or On Target Earnings:</b></p><p></p><p>Minimum:</p>$174,700.00<p></p><p>Maximum:</p>$382,200.00<p></p><p><span>In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications &amp; experience.</span></p><p></p><p><span>We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations</span></p><p><span>At Zoom, we offer a window of at least 5 days for you to apply because we believe in giving you every opportunity.
