In this role you will work with a team of release managers/quality analysts for Veeva, Vault (Safety). You will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases, ensuring the smooth deployment of products and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong technical background, people management skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</span></div><h3>What Youll Do</h3><ul><li>Collaborate with software development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan, schedule, and manage software releases</li><li>Define and maintain release processes and methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement and best practices</li><li>Coordinate release activities, including version control, feature branching, code merges, and deployment</li><li>Communicate release plans, progress, and status to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>Manage and mitigate risks related to the release process, including identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing strategies to address them</li><li>Ensure that all necessary documentation, release notes, and communication materials are prepared and delivered alongside each release</li><li>Monitor and measure the success of releases, gathering feedback and data to drive process improvements</li><li>Oversee post-release activities, such as issue tracking, bug fixes, and customer support</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative release management practices</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>8+ years of experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful software releases for a SaaS Product</li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall</li><li>Proficiency with version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, and release automation (e.g., Git, Kibana, Jenkins)</li><li>Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for process improvement and optimization</li><li>Experience with release management tools and platforms is a plus</li><li>Experience working cross functionally with geographically dispersed teams</li><li>Must be located in the Pacific timezone</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>Experience working in Health sciences and Life care industry</li><li>Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, shell or other scripting language</li><li>Experience in a product based environment</li></ul><h3>Perks &amp; Benefits</h3><ul><li>Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance</li><li>Flexible PTO and company paid holidays</li><li>Retirement programs</li><li>1% charitable giving program</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li>Base pay: $100,000 - $175,000</li><li>The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
