And winning as an Underdog is just more fun.</p> <p>Join us.</p></div><h3>About the role</h3> <p>This is a rare chance to help build a generational company.  We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to oversee all accounting operations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and to act as a strategic partner to Finance Leadership and the Executive Team in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.  The ideal candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and lead in the production of timely and accurate financial statements,</li> <li>Coordinate external audits and serve as our primary liaison to auditors and regulatory bodies,</li> <li>Manage payroll and multi-state payroll tax compliance</li> <li>Oversee accounting and reporting for diverse equity transactions, including stock-based compensation</li> <li>Lead federal, state, and local tax compliance, including returns, provisions, and 1099/W-2G reporting</li> <li>Partner with Compliance on regulatory filings, license applications, and reporting to state and federal agencies</li> <li>Deliver variance analysis and actionable commentary to executive leadership,</li> <li>Drive long and short-term systems planning in support of company objectives,</li> <li>Develop our vision for the Accounting team while creating a culture of continuous improvement,</li> <li>Partner with FP&amp;A, Legal, HR and Operations on strategic initiatives while helping us to stay agile and execution-focused in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> <h3>Who you are</h3> <ul> <li>You have 10+ years of overall experience including 5+ years in a supervisory capacity</li> <li>You have an active CPA license</li> <li>You’ve had impactful stints in both public and private accounting</li> <li>You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance</li> <li>You have a demonstrated track record of scaling systems and processes in a dynamic environment</li> </ul> <h3>Even better if you have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience in high-growth consumer tech, fintech, or gaming industries</li> <li>Prior experience with IPO readiness / long-range planning</li> </ul> <p><em><br />Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $212,000 and $255,000, plus target equity.
