With that in mind, we especially encourage women, people of color, and others from historically marginalized groups to apply.<pre><code></code></pre><h1>About The Role</h1>As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure at the Browser Company, you’ll create the systems, tools and infrastructure that that unlock rich product experiences in <a target="_blank" href="https://www.diabrowser.com/">Dia</a> as we scale. Youll build the architecture that powers Dias AI capabilities, enabling our team to prototype and ship innovative browser automation and AI-driven features rapidly. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on different products and surfaces areas across the company — we value mobility and folks getting to work on the problems they’re most interested in. <h2>Overall you will...</h2><ul><li>Scope and spearhead technical projects across client, browser, and OS layers.</li><li>Support the infrastructure and architecture that enable Dia’s core features—primarily working in Swift, but also flexing into C++ and Chromium—to help the team build and deliver new capabilities.</li><li>Design APIs that abstract away complexity and empower engineers to iterate quickly, collaborating closely with engineering teams across the company in the process.</li><li>Invest in observability, tooling, stability, and performance—continually improving our AI product infrastructure, deployment systems, release process, and feature flag systems.</li><li>Contribute directly to the Chromium codebase by participating in engineering rotations, responding to incidents, and supporting major upgrades, while sharing knowledge with the broader team.</li><li>Take ownership of key infrastructure areas, serving as the primary point of contact for product engineers on questions of performance and reliability.</li><li>Regularly participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and efforts to improve engineering best practices.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications</h1><ul><li>10+ years of experience leading critical projects or initiatives in client-side or C++ infrastructure environments, with deep hands-on C++ development experience.</li><li>Experience with Chromium is a plus—we’re especially interested in folks who are excited to dive in and learn the Chromium codebase.</li><li>Youve worked on large, complex codebases and understand how to improve systems to make them easier to understand, debug, and maintain.</li><li>Youre passionate about building tools and systems that make other engineers more productive and strive to make them elegant and maintainable.</li><li>You’re pragmatic, motivated by nebulous problems, and excited to work in a startup environment with quick product validation cycles.</li><li>We’re primarily focused on hiring in North American time zones and require that folks have 4+ hours of overlap time with team members in Eastern Time Zone.</li></ul><h1>Compensation and Benefits</h1>💰 With our flexible compensation model, employees have the ability to choose the cash-to-equity ratio that best suits their individual needs. Every offer we extend includes three options: a salary-optimized offer, an equity-optimized offer, and a balanced offer.The annual salary range for this role is $250-300,000 USD.
