You will be instrumental in shaping and executing data science priorities and in taking customer challenges and producing effective, efficient, technical solutions that support strategic goals and improve the customer experience. This role is ideal for a creative and highly motivated data scientist who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging math and analytics to deliver insight, understanding, and impact to customers.   What Youll Do: <ul> <li>Advanced Analytics &amp; Modeling</li> <ul> <li>Tackle complex problems by selecting and applying the right mathematical approaches and machine learning models across structured and unstructured data</li> <li>Design, train, test, and tune machine learning models for threat intelligence, incident detection, alerting, risk scoring, and more</li> <li>Build successful prototypes to validate model performance and feasibility</li> <li>Design and implement preprocessing pipelines and feature engineering workflows</li> <li>Define quantitative metrics to track model accuracy, performance, and business impact</li> <li>Create and maintain clear internal, external, and compliance documentation on models</li> <li>ML applications will be diverse and span foundational learning paradigms</li> </ul> <li>Cross-Functional Problem Solving <ul> <li>Translate customer and internal into analytically driven questions</li> <li>Rapidly spin up MVPs to test solutions</li> <li>Propose and prototype new data sources and features, and</li> <li>Work with engineers to support deployment of production-grade models</li> <li>Ensure data science work – in purpose and function - align with product and strategic goals</li> </ul> </li> <ul> <li>Collaborate with engineering, product, research, and customer-facing teams to:</li> </ul> <li>Communicate and Advocate</li> <ul> <li>Communicate analytic and modeling design choices and rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders</li> <li>Maintain cross-functional feedback loops – both internal and with select customers – to evaluate the technical and contextual success of data science products</li> </ul> </ul>   Requirements: <ul> <li>Deep expertise in applied math (linear algebra, calculus, statistics, optimization, graph theory) and understanding of when to apply various modeling approaches</li> <li>Minimum 5 years in data science or analytics with proven success in the design, training, and evaluation of ML models</li> <li>Strong coding capabilities, specifically solid experience in Python using packages like using PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and others</li> <li>Excellent communication skills; adept at translating complex analyses into digestible recommendations for diverse teams</li> <li>Comfortable owning and driving projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment</li> </ul>   Nice to Have: <ul> <li>Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms, specifically text classification, NLP-based threat tagging, or similar tasks</li> <li>Experience with data engineering or ELT/data pipeline creation</li> <li>Domain experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, account takeover, ransomware analysis, or similar fields</li> <li>Familiarity with graph analytics, knowledge graphs, or cybersecurity ontologies (e.g., MITRE ATTACK)</li> </ul> <div></div><div>SpyCloud is not sponsoring visas at this time.
