You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, working alongside experienced engineers.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>What Youll Do:<ul><li>Develop and implement new features and enhancements for our SaaS products using Node.js.</li><li>Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL to manage and query data.</li><li>Assist in deploying and maintaining applications on AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.</li><li>Write well-structured, testable, and efficient code.</li><li>Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of code.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, learning from peers and contributing to code quality.</li><li>Assist in debugging and resolving software defects</li><li>Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and best practices in software development.</li><li>Actively seek feedback and opportunities for professional development.</li><li>Embrace an AI-first approach by exploring and utilizing AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor).</li><li>Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to understand requirements and contribute to solutions.</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.</li></ul><h2>What Youll Bring:</h2><ul><li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>1+ years of experience in software development (internships or relevant projects will be considered).</li><li>Foundational knowledge of Node.js and backend development concepts.</li><li>Basic understanding of relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure.</li><li>Understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.</li><li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, including AI-powered developer tools.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>Be Human With Us:<div><div><div><div>Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is between $113,900 CAD - $170,900 CAD. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
