We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.We are seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst with 3-4 years of experience to join our fast-paced team at Serve Robotics, a leading autonomous delivery robotics company. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and advanced skills in Google Sheets, as well as a passion for using automation tools like ChatGPT to streamline tasks.Responsibilities<ul><li>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting: Lead the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of detailed financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions.</li><li>Variance Analysis: Perform regular variance analysis and provide insights into budget versus actual results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.</li><li>Scenario Modeling: Develop and maintain dynamic scenario models to assess the financial impact of various business strategies and decisions.</li><li>Automation &amp; Efficiency: Leverage advanced Excel/Google Sheets and ChatGPT to automate and simplify complex reporting processes, ensuring higher efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Business Partner Relationships: Act as a trusted financial partner to business units, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their financial needs and deliver actionable insights.</li><li>Commentary &amp; Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and insightful financial commentary to explain variances, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Accounting Fundamentals: Apply solid knowledge of accounting principles to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and assist in closing processes.</li></ul>Note: The list of responsibilities is intended to capture essential duties and responsibilities for incumbents in the job. An incumbent may perform additional duties as assignedQualifications<ul><li>3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a tech, robotics, or fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficiency in advanced Google Sheets and Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate complex financial models.</li><li>Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.</li><li>Experience with scenario modeling and financial forecasting tools, as well as ERP tools like NetSuite; experience implementing FP&amp;A planning tools (Planful, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive) a plus!</li><li>Comfort using emerging productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, scripting, workflow automation) to enhance efficiency.</li><li>Strong business acumen, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.</li><li>Knowledge of accounting principles and a solid understanding of financial statements.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Travel will be required 2-4 times per year for around 4-5 business days each time.</li></ul>
