Let’s shape progress together.<h3>About the Role</h3>We are seeking a talented and collaborative Software Engineer II – Python to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City. This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation-based learning.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems.</li><li>Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System.</li><li>Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.</li><li>Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback.</li><li>Complete moderately complex bug fixes.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.</li><li>Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.</li><li>Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.</li><li>Keep abreast of new technology developments.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>3+ years of Software Engineering experience.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, SQL, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, UNIX.</li><li>Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles.</li><li>Ability to work with complex data models.</li><li>Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.</li><li>Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).</li><li>Knowledge of test-driven development and industry best practices such as code coverage.</li><li>Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.</li><li>Good oral and written communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Work in a Way That Works for You</h3>We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
