The Growth and Transformation team at Red Ventures is seeking a Platform Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems at scale. In this role, you’ll shape and optimize our multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Databricks), ensuring they are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient. You’ll work across diverse engineering teams, bringing both hands-on expertise and strategic influence to how we build, scale, and govern our infrastructure. This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week. What You’ll Do: <ul> <li>Engineer and optimize resilient multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) and multi-region environments.</li> <li>Secure and govern platforms by implementing compliance frameworks and IAM best practices.</li> <li>Automate everything with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and custom tooling.</li> <li>Optimize costs and performance across AWS, GCP, and Databricks by leveraging monitoring and observability tools.</li> <li>Collaborate deeply with engineering teams to shape architecture, resolve incidents, and deliver improvements.</li> <li>Contribute to strategy by influencing architectural decisions and scaling best practices.</li> </ul> What We’re Looking For: <ul> <li>3–5 years of platform engineering or cloud infrastructure experience</li> <li>Strong hands-on expertise in AWS and GCP (multi-cloud, multi-region)</li> <li>Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)</li> <li>Experience implementing cloud security and compliance frameworks</li> <li>Skilled in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go)</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Experience with cloud cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Cloudability, etc.)</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams</li> </ul> Bonus Points for: <ul> <li>Direct Databricks administration experience</li> <li>Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Databricks)</li> <li>Knowledge of regulated environments (SOC2, PCI, GDPR, financial services)</li> <li>Experience with chaos engineering or disaster recovery planning</li> <li>Exposure to Salesforce, Adobe, or data lake/warehouse architectures</li> </ul> Why Join Us?
