We partner with product, engineering, and commercial leaders at top startups and scale-ups to bring Plaid’s platform into their stack. We act as strategic advisors and growth enablers — we don’t just sell; we unlock financial freedom for everyone by expanding Plaid’s reach into new use cases, sectors, and markets.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>As a Strategic Account Executive in our European business, you will lead full-cycle sales with high-potential companies who are building the next generation of financial services. You’ll own relationships from first touch through close, driving consultative sales motions with technical and commercial stakeholders. You’ll be a key player in shaping how Plaid scales its mid-market motion across Europe.</span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Identify and close new business with upper mid-market high-growth European companies</li><li>Own the full sales cycle from sourcing and qualification through to contracting and handoff</li><li>Guide product and engineering teams through technical evaluation of Plaid’s APIs and data products</li><li>Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline with a mix of inbound and outbound opportunities</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AMs, Solutions, Risk, Product) to drive successful deals</li><li>Evangelise Plaid’s value across fintech and adjacent verticals</li><li>Contribute to the development of scalable mid-market processes and best practices in a growing region</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>4+ years of full-cycle sales experience in a quota-carrying role</li><li>Proven success in consultative, technical sales (ideally £75k+ ACV)</li><li>Experience selling to product, engineering, technical and leadership</li><li>Strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets</li><li>Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset</li><li>A passion for FinTech, and a pulse on market trends. </li><li>[Nice to have] Experience in FinTech, Payments, or API-first companies</li><li>[Nice to have] Familiarity with the regulatory or compliance landscape in the UK/EU</li><li>[Nice to have] Fluency in a second European language</li></ul><div><span>Our mission at Plaid is to unlock financial freedom for everyone.
