As a POV Solutions Engineer, you will play a vital technical role in the Proof of Value (POV) team, responsible for creating and configuring customer tenants across the entire Mimecast product suite. Your work will enable customers to experience the full value of Mimecast’s solutions, supporting Sales Executives and Sales Engineering throughout the pre-sales cycle. Upon successful POV completion, you will ensure a seamless handover to Professional Services for full implementation.What Youll Do:<ul><li>Configure and deploy Mimecast solutions including email security, collaboration platform security (Teams, Slack), human risk management, and threat intelligence for customer POV environments.</li><li>Gather and document customer requirements to ensure successful onboarding and demonstrate value.</li><li>Communicate technical solutions and value propositions to customers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Integrate Mimecast solutions with directory services, SSO, SCIM, MDM, and deployment management tools.</li><li>Collaborate with security professionals to customize and optimize deployments for risk mitigation.</li><li>Escalate and track issues with Support and Product teams; contribute feedback for product improvements.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Support, Product Management, Engineering, and Professional Services.</li><li>Mentor and assist with onboarding new team members.</li></ul>What Youll Bring:<ul><li>Proficiency in system/IT administration supporting Microsoft Exchange/Online/Azure Communication Services, Google Workspace, or other email systems.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of implementing technical capabilities, including but not limited to SMTP Gateway configuration, Directory Synchronization (LDAP(S), Azure, Google Cloud Directory Sync), and SCIM.</li><li>Experience with collaboration platform security (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom).</li><li>Familiarity with human risk management and security awareness tools.</li><li>Proficiency in API integration and automation (REST, webhooks, etc.).</li><li>Direct experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, Jamf), including device enrolment, policy configuration, and remote management.</li><li>Fluent in the management of Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX-based operating systems.</li><li>Familiarity with email archive solutions (Enterprise Vault, Microsoft, Google, etc.).</li><li>Experience with desktop management and mass deployment tools.</li><li>Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership in technical projects or teams.</li><li>Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent POVs and prioritize effectively.</li><li>Experience in process improvement and change managementwithin technical teams.</li><li>Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>3 years of consulting experience.</li><li>3–5 years of professional IT experience in enterprise software implementation/configuration.</li><li>BS/BA degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.</li></ul>The US base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000 base + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.
