This role offers the opportunity to shape and modernize our database infrastructure while supporting mission-critical applications. </div><div> </div><div>What You’ll Do <ul><li>Administer and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases across on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments. </li><li>Manage and maintain Azure PostgreSQL environments. </li><li>Implement schema changes, backup/recovery strategies, and security protocols. </li><li>Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning. </li><li>Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. </li><li>Document configurations, changes, and procedures. </li><li>Evaluate and integrate new database tools and technologies. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications such as Core Hub, Hub Connect, and Copay. </li></ul></div><div>   </div><div>What You’ll Bring </div><div>Minimum Qualifications: </div><div>Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience </div><div> </div><div>Education and Certifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. </li><li>Oracle DBA (OCP) certification. preferred </li></ul></div><div>Critical SKills <ul><li>7+ years of experience in database administration. </li><li>5+ years managing large-scale Oracle and PostgreSQL environments (cloud and on-prem). </li><li>Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting. </li><li>Proven experience with Azure PostgreSQL. </li></ul></div><div>Preferred Skills: <ul><li>Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Docker. </li><li>Scripting in Python or Bash. </li><li>Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform. </li></ul></div><div>   </div><div>   </div>We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
