Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Redwood City, CA, Liftoff has a diverse, global presence.</div>We’re seeking a dynamic Data Systems Manager to design and oversee our data architecture, implement a robust Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, and drive data governance initiatives.  This role blends technical expertise, strategic oversight, and collaboration to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions that align with the Companys overall business intelligence initiatives and strategic objectives. If you’re passionate about leading data excellence, transforming processes, and aligning technology with business goals, we want to hear from you! <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Develop and implement a MDM strategy to ensure data quality, integrity, and ownership organization-wide.</li> <li>Design and manage a scalable data architecture framework to support data integration, storage, and reporting needs.</li> <li>Create and uphold data governance policies and best practices to ensure high-quality data management practices across all business units</li> <li>Lead data cleanup, automation, and integration initiatives to optimize processes.</li> <li>Oversee data quality management to ensure accurate reliable data for operations and decision-making.</li> <li>Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI solutions and adoption</li> <li>Design and maintain data warehouses, marts, and analytical structures to support reporting and BI applications.</li> <li>Develop and enhance reporting tools and visualizations to drive business insights.</li> <li>Maintain thorough documentation, including data dictionaries, processes, and project plans.</li> <li>Define and suggest systems guardrail to prevent improper editing permission and data inaccuracy</li> <li>Stay ahead of industry trends to align data solutions with evolving business objectives.</li> </ul> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>7-10 years of experience in data architecture, database management, or data warehousing.</li> <li>3-5 years of leadership experience.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree (MBA/MIS preferred).</li> <li>Expertise in SQL, data modeling, reporting and ETL processes.</li> <li>Knowledge of databases like Snowflake, Redis, MongoDB Atlas, and MemSQL.</li> <li>Proven skills in data mapping, analysis, and quality management.</li> <li>Solid proficiency in reporting tools, data visualization, and actionable analytics.</li> <li>Familiarity with Salesforce dashboards and analytics apps preferred.</li> <li>Remarkable analytical skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.</li> <li>Experience with data governance and performance measurement tools.</li> </ul> <hr /> Location: Preferred location in for this role is in one of our entities in the the Pacific Standard Time Zone: CA, NV, OR, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York City. Travel Expectations: We offer several opportunities for in-person team gatherings, including but not limited to project meetings, regional meetups, and company-wide events. We expect our employees to attend these gatherings at least once per quarter. These gatherings provide essential opportunities for collaboration, communication, and team building.  For this role, there will be travel to the Redwood City Hub in California once per quarter. Compensation: Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidates location and experience. The following are the base salaries.  This position has a 10% quarterly bonus.  <ul> <li>SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, NYC, WA:  $165,000 - $180,000 plus quarterly bonus </li> <li>Austin, Denver, Boston, Portland, other CA: $151,800 to $165,600 plus quarterly bonus </li> <li>All other cities and towns in our approved states: $141,900 - $154,800 plus quarterly bonus </li> </ul> <hr /> #LI-VM1 <hr /> We use Covey as part of our hiring and/or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT.
