Leidos is searching for an experienced and fully cleared Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.The team is made-up of highly technical and motivated individuals. The engineer for this role will assist in troubleshooting complex problems and implementing cutting-edge solutions. As such, this individual must be an excellent problem solver and work well in a collaborative team environment. Candidate must have proven hands-on experience working as a network engineer. OCONUS experience is highly desired.50% travel to OCONUS location.The program is made up of CONUS and OCONUS teams who regularly interact across varying time zones. As a result, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and be flexible with regards to teamwork and tasking. A demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve results in a timely manner is desired.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, and firewalls)</li><li>Monitor entire network infrastructure (LAN &amp; WAN) and provide regular reporting</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure network optimization and the completion of other tasks</li><li>Ensure network uptime, performance, and security</li><li>Document and enforce network standards</li><li>Manage and maintain IP addressing schema</li><li>Travel OCONUS as needed</li><li>Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VA</li></ul>REQUIRED Skills, Experience, and Education: <ul><li>Bachelors and a minimum of 12 year experience OR Masters and a minimum of 10 years of experience OR minimum of 16 years of experience in lieu of degree</li><li>Must possess an active and in-scope TS/SCI With Poly to be considered</li><li>Active/current basic CCNA certification</li><li>Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model</li><li>Hands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools</li><li>Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances</li><li>Experience configuring/troubleshooting routing and switching, including routing protocols</li><li>Experience writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls</li><li>Ability to work well individually, as well as within a team environment, and always maintain professional behavior with all stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>CCNA/CCNP Security certification</li><li>Experience working with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Juniper SRX appliances</li><li>Experience implementing and troubleshooting IPSec VPN tunnels</li><li>Deep understanding of networking protocols, i.e., IPSEC, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS</li><li>Experience installing and troubleshooting iDirect VSATs</li><li>Experience using Solarwinds Performance Monitor and Configuration Manager</li><li>Experience implementing and troubleshooting AWS</li><li>Experience implementing and troubleshooting VoIP &amp; PBX systems</li><li>Experience implementing and troubleshooting Asterisk</li></ul>At Leidos, we don’t want someone who fits the mold—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better.
