<p><b>Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for an ELASTIC Network Engineer to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program.  The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.  </b></p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li><b>Elastic subject matter expert serving as the technical expert on Elastic based projects </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Develops and maintains several Elastic Stacks with feeds and integrations from customer endpoints </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Develops and maintains logging and monitoring strategy utilizing Elastic Observability </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Provides troubleshooting support for Elastic deployments at the systems and software levels </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Supports customers with deployments of Elasticsearch </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Manages the deployment and maintenance of Elastic Agent implementations </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Supports the development of custom Kibana dashboards and alerts leveraging Elastic Security </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Coordinates with change control boards and provide installation, configuration, engineering, administration, and accreditation documents/diagrams for infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and new technology deployments </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of Linux network systems </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Achieves key project/program objectives and deliverables </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Supports an established collaborative work environment </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Mentors and coaches other technical staff </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Identifies and offers solutions to gaps in capabilities </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Promotes and implements automation and process efficiencies </b></li></ul><p><b>Basic Qualifications </b></p><ul><li><b>Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active DoD SECRET security clearance. (US Citizenship required) </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>B.S. degree or higher and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.  Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>5+ years of Unix/Linux experience, 2+ years of Elasticsearch experience in production, in medium to large clusters </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Deep working knowledge of and proven experience with Elastic stack </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Strong understanding of Elastic index configuration options </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Experience with packaging and maintaining Beats and Elastic Agents through Fleet </b></li></ul><ul><li><b> Hold DoD 8570 IAT-II   </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Knowledge of computer security principles and DoD security protocols </b></li></ul><ul><li><b>Deep understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP </b></li></ul><p></p><p><i>.  </i></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><span>If youre looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
