We’re passionate builders who continuously seek to understand our customers, collaborate on innovative solutions, and write the code to bring them to life.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Role Overview</b></div><div><span>As the Senior Frontend Engineer for Ketch Tag, you will lead the design and development of client-side javascript integration code for Ketch’s privacy and permissioning platform. This role demands technical expertise in client-side javascript tags, website performance, and the ability to collaborate across teams. You will work closely with product management, customer success, and design teams to deliver exceptional, secure, and scalable user experiences.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><b>This is a hybrid role based out of the San Francisco HQ 3 days a week.</b></div><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Own and evolve the Ketch SDKs, which power privacy, consent, and data-governance functionality for millions of daily users across global media, e-commerce, technology, and financial platforms.</li><li>Extend Ketch’s event-driven SDK framework to support custom integrations, consent orchestration, event tracking, rule evaluation, and adtech connectivity.</li><li>Design and implement mechanisms to intercept, modify, and govern network requests, cookies, and storage operations—providing deterministic control over client-side data flows.</li><li>Build and iterate on network-traffic emulators that simulate real client-server interactions, extract telemetry, and pipeline it into AI models to identify and score data-sensitivity and privacy risk.</li><li>Assist in developing responsive and user-friendly web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.</li><li>Advocate for features that serve customer developers, improving integration workflows, extensibility, and overall developer experience.</li><li>Collaborate with product, design, and customer success teams to implement features that address customer needs and ensure a consistent, intuitive user experience.</li><li>Maintain and improve application security and performance standards.</li><li>Contribute to frontend engineering best practices, standards, and tools.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to uphold quality standards.</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>Deep command of modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and browser APIs, with the ability to write performant, reliable code that runs in varied client environments.</li><li>Experience building and maintaining JavaScript tags deployed on customer websites, as well as SDKs used by internal integrations and external developers. </li><li>Strong understanding of browser architecture, spanning network and storage APIs, cross-origin communication, and governance of client-side data flows.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Experience and/or expertise with mobile application development in iOS and/or Android is a plus</li><li>Bonus: Contributes to open-source projects through collaborative development and review</li></ul>
