<p>IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is looking for an AP Specialist to support IXL’s accounts payable function. The ideal candidate for this position will be exceedingly well-organized, flexible, can work with little to no supervision, and enjoys interaction with vendors and co-workers as well as external CPAs. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making critical decisions with high efficiency and accuracy, is crucial. <span>#LI-GW1</span></p> <p>This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.</p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING</h4> <ul> <li>Manage and direct the full Accounts Payable cycle, including processing invoices with appropriate account coding and issuing approvals by applying GAAP accounting principles, discretion and professional judgment </li> <li>Direct on-time weekly check or wire payments to vendors internationally</li> <li>Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies for account adjustments</li> <li>Prepare purchase orders as requested by department managers</li> <li>Review and process Concur expense reports on a daily basis, ensuring that company policies are being followed</li> <li>Review and process monthly corporate credit card expense reports</li> <li>Prepare monthly prepaid amortization expenses report and work with CPA/bookkeeper regarding same</li> <li>Maintain and update 1099 contractors files on a regular basis </li> <li>Maintenance of vendor information, including W-9s, with precise and accurate information for tax filings</li> <li>Provide customer support by responding to billing inquiries via e-mail and phone</li> <li>Assist in month end financial close and reporting by working with the VP Finance</li> <li>Provide support for external audit requests by KPMG</li> <li>Contribute to continuing process improvements for efficiency</li> <li>Perform other related accounting duties as assigned by management</li> </ul> <h4>WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR</h4> <ul> <li>BA/BS degree </li> <li>2+ years of experience in AP functions</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate discretion and independent judgment when making decisions  </li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel</li> <li>Experience with General Ledger a plus</li> <li>Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur a plus</li> <li>Able to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently to meet multiple deadlines</li> <li>Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized</li> <li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Energetic, mature, positive person who thrives working independently</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of employee and company information</li> </ul> <p><span><em>Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 to $85,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
