This team designs, implements, and supports internal tools that streamline engineering work for our platform and client engagements. As a senior engineer on this team, you’ll help build the foundational technologies that product engineering teams rely on to realize their goals without worrying about the details.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <p>As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead engineers in your team to build well-architected, reliable, and user-friendly tools that streamline engineering work built on our platform. Here are some activities you will be expected to perform:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and evolution of internal tools that abstract the details of deployment.</li> <li>Implement architectural changes to the platform to guarantee security and scalability.</li> <li>Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption and support their usage of our tools.</li> <li>Collaborate with SRE and Security to manage real-world instances of our platform.</li> <li>Author documentation to ease onboarding and user-friendliness of the tools we provide</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What We Need</strong></h2> <ul> <li>8+ years of software engineering work experience.</li> <li>Experience leading cross-team projects.</li> <li>Ideally previous projects supported engineering users.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise with Python and Typescript.</li> <li>Experience designing web APIs and packaged libraries.</li> <li>Fluency in DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, observability, Infra as code, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to strategize across multiple layers of abstraction and reduce complexity.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What’s In It For You</strong></h2> <p>Invisible is committed to fair and competitive pay, ensuring that compensation reflects both market conditions and the value each team member brings. Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including location, job-related experience, skills, knowledge, internal pay equity, and overall market conditions.
