Job Family:Software Development &amp; Support (Digital) Travel Required:Up to 10% Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:<ul><li>We are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring applications are highly available, scalable, secure and cost-efficient.</li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS services, automation frameworks, and DevOps best practices, while also capable of mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence across teams.</li><li>Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc.) and support containerized workloads (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).</li><li>Enable automated testing, artifact management, and blue/green or canary deployments.</li><li>Implement observability, monitoring, and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or third-party tools.</li><li>Troubleshoot system performance, latency, and reliability issues and define and maintain SLAs and SLOs.</li><li>Automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, recovery processes, security scanning, and vulnerability management with CI/CD.</li><li>Ensure systems meet security, governance, and regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2, etc.) as applicable.</li><li>Implement IAM best practices, encryption strategies, and secure networking.</li><li>Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to ensure smooth releases.</li></ul> What You Will Need:<ul><li>US Citizenship is required or Green Card Holder</li><li>Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; candidates must obtain an approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. A Minimum of TEN(10) years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree.</li><li>A minimum of SIX(6) years of prior relevant experience in IT infrastructure, A minimum of THREE (3) years of experience in cloud engineering,  DevOps, or infrastructure automation</li><li>Expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, etc.)</li><li>Assist senior transition team in account handoff validation, CI/CD pipeline validation, GitHub Actions audit, CodeBuild job review, Argo sync check, artifact migration, secrets verification, deployment dry runs, rollback prep, and cutover support.</li><li>Monitor deployment pipeline and build status, build troubleshooting, deployment automation, Helm chart maintenance, Dockerfile updates, environment config management, release coordination, and developer support.</li><li>Ownership of services like GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, ArgoCD, Helm charts, Dockerfiles, secrets management, environment variables, deployment workflows, Terraform templates.</li><li>Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)</li><li>Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate, mentor, help, and support other team members, as needed to solve complex operational and reliability problems.</li><li>Strong development background in Python, Bash, or similar</li></ul> What Would Be Nice To Have:<ul><li>AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (Highly desirable).</li><li>Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.</li><li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other specialty certifications.</li></ul>The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$133,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
