Galileo provides a risk platform that protects the customers from fraudsters by providing risk assessments on abnormal customer behaviors in real-time. On the Risk team, you will be in the middle of it all – implementing new functionality, architecting our system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring and supporting mission critical systems. You’ll face and solve a wide range of challenges: technical, product, and operational, shaping your personal growth and career along the way, as well as helping mold and grow the members of the team. <br /><br /><strong>What you’ll do: </strong><br />- Lead the development and testing of our systems and services <br />- Engage in shaping the technical architecture of the product <br />- Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment <br />- Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of       individuals <br />- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies <br />- Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers <br /><br /><strong>What you’ll need: </strong><br />- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field. <br />- 4+ years programming experience in Python<br />- Experience building backend APIs using Flask and Python <br />- Experience with Terraform for building infrastructure <br />- Experience with operating in Cloud and distributed systems (Ideally AWS)<br />- Experience with Continuous Delivery principles and techniques <br />- Experience with DevOps and full ownership of services from development to production deployment leveraging kubernetes and docker <br />- Emerging ability to lead and influence a teams technical direction <br />- Emerging ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system.<br /><br /></p><div><div><div><div> <div><span><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></span></div> <div>The base pay range for this role is listed below.
