Your role will be pivotal in transforming how engineering teams build, test, and deploy software by enabling efficient, cloud-native development workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development infrastructure with business and engineering goals, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.What you’ll do:<ul><li>Architect and manage cloud-based development environments using Coder.com across multiple teams and projects.</li><li>Design scalable and secure infrastructure to support containerized development environments.</li><li>Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of development environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.</li><li>Integrate Coder.com with CI/CD pipelines, identity providers, and developer tools.</li><li>Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and user experience of cloud development environments.</li><li>Establish best practices and governance for secure and compliant development workflows.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams adopting cloud-based development.</li><li>Stay current with trends in cloud-native development, DevOps, and remote development tooling.</li></ul>Experience you’ll need to have:<ul><li>6+ years of experience in systems or cloud engineering.</li><li>3+ years of experience designing and managing cloud-native development environments.</li><li>3+ years of experience with Coder.com or similar platforms (e.g., GitHub Codespaces, JetBrains Gateway, Gitpod).</li><li>3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li><li>3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.</li><li>3+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business and/or equivalent military experience.</li></ul>Experience that would be great to have:<ul><li>Experience integrating Coder.com with enterprise authentication and authorization systems (e.g., SSO, LDAP, OAuth).</li><li>Experience with observability tools for monitoring developer environments.</li></ul>Salary Range$128,000.00 - $216,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California.
