In this role, you will design, implement, automate, and maintain robust security solutions that protect our organization’s critical assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network infrastructure.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>1. Design &amp; Implementation of Network Security Solutions<ul><li>Architect, implement, and maintain network security architectures, policies, and procedures using Palo Alto firewalls and Azure networking technologies.</li><li>Develop and maintain secure configurations, access controls, and routing protocols.</li><li>Evaluate emerging security technologies to strengthen our overall security posture.  </li></ul>2. Firewall &amp; Traffic Management<ul><li>Configure, monitor, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including rule sets, security policies, and threat prevention profiles.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related security issues.</li><li>Perform regular firewall audits and vulnerability assessments.  </li></ul>3. Network Infrastructure Protection<ul><li>Monitor network traffic patterns to detect and mitigate security threats.</li><li>Implement and maintain IDS/IPS solutions for continuous threat detection.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into all network devices, systems, and applications.  </li></ul>4. Remote Access Security<ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain secure remote access architectures and policies.</li><li>Support secure connectivity across iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS environments.</li><li>Collaborate with end-users to ensure optimal and secure remote experiences.  </li></ul>5. Application Delivery &amp; Load Balancing<ul><li>Configure, monitor, and maintain F5 load balancers (VM and hardware) to ensure high availability, performance, and secure application delivery.  </li></ul>6. Incident Response &amp; Vulnerability Management<ul><li>Investigate and remediate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and apply corrective measures.</li><li>Ensure vulnerabilities are addressed by applying the latest security patches and configurations in alignment with global security standards.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency support.  </li></ul>7. Collaboration &amp; Knowledge Sharing<ul><li>Work closely with IT teams and partners to align network security with organizational goals.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.</li><li>Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies in network security, Palo Alto, and Azure.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Certifications (Highly Preferred):<ul><li>Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)</li><li>Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)</li><li>F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)</li><li>Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are a plus.</li></ul></li><li>Technical Expertise in Network Security:<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of network security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).</li><li>Experience with network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and secure VPN solutions.</li><li>Strong understanding of encryption protocols, PKI, TLS/SSL, IPsec, and certificate management.</li><li>Advanced firewall policy design, rule optimization, and traffic analysis.</li><li>Threat intelligence integration into network defense strategies.</li></ul></li><li>Core Networking Skills:<ul><li>Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and NAT.</li><li>Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM platforms.</li><li>Experience with cloud-based security architectures (Azure required; AWS/GCP a plus).</li></ul></li><li>Other Requirements:<ul><li>Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts as they relate to network threat detection and automation.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, hybrid cloud environments.  </li></ul></li></ul>Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and security advocacy.The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:$108,000 - $186,900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
