<h2>Role Description</h2> As the Field Events Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of field events marketing programs across North America. Reporting to the Director of Virtual &amp; Ancillary Events, you’ll be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive event programs encompassing Dropbox-led regional events, third-party conferences, ancillary activations, and customer-driven experiences that drive awareness, deepen customer engagement, generate demand and accelerate opportunities. This role requires a strategic mindset to design and execute events that inspire engagement and deliver measurable business impact. It’s ideal for a creative and data-driven marketing professional with expertise in event management, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration, who thrives on shaping programs that connect customers and drive growth. <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a comprehensive field event marketing strategy for North America that aligns with company objectives and supports acquisition, expansion, and retention goals across event types: Dropbox-led regional events, third-party, ancillary activations, and customer-focused events.</li> <li>Ensure a strong customer-first orientation in event production, highlighting Dropbox’s value and building consistent, meaningful connections with audiences across segments.</li> <li>Create and manage an event calendar that strategically positions Dropbox at industry conferences, trade shows, and ancillary activations throughout the year.</li> <li>Partner with the Brand &amp; Communications team to ensure event storytelling, creative assets, and experiences reinforce Dropbox’s positioning and messaging across all touch points.</li> <li>Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, and Communications to ensure events are cohesive, compelling, and anchored in business objectives.</li> <li>Bring operational rigor to planning and execution: managing vendor relationships, venue selection, contract negotiations, budget allocation, and program governance.</li> <li>Establish strong interlock with Integrated Marketing to ensure consistency in market positioning, messaging, and execution across all events.</li> <li>Design and implement pre-event, onsite, and post-event engagement strategies that maximize attendance, participation, and measurable customer impact.</li> <li>Extend event reach through digital, social, and web channels in collaboration with cross-functional partners.</li> <li>Track performance against key metrics, report on ROI, and make data-driven recommendations for future improvements.</li> <li>Collaborate with creative and content teams to produce high-quality event materials, presentations, and promotional assets that align with Dropbox brand standards.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>8+ years of B2B marketing experience with a focus on event and field marketing.</li> <li>Proven track record of designing, scaling, and executing event marketing programs that drive measurable business impact.</li> <li>Strong understanding of B2B lead flow processes and experience working closely with marketing ops, sales ops, and direct sales teams.</li> <li>Skilled in managing complex, cross-functional projects and events, with a strong focus on detail, timelines, and flawless execution.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with budget management and vendor negotiations, ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence across events of varying scale.</li> <li>Data-driven approach with experience analyzing program performance and providing actionable insights.</li> <li>Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across Brand, Integrated Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Travel approximately up to 30%</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Experience marketing SaaS or productivity solutions, with familiarity in both sales-assisted and product-led growth models.</li> <li>Hands-on experience supporting or managing event programs across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats.</li> <li>Comfortable using event management platforms and marketing automation tools to plan, execute, and measure success.</li> </ul> <h2>Compensation</h2><div><div><div>Canada Pay Range</div><div>$104,600—$141,500 CAD</div></div></div>
