With almost 1,000 highly qualified employees, OS develops and operates the most modern IT systems for our customers, ensures long-term system support, and maintains the availability of critical business processes. <br /> If you are looking forward to be a part of English / German speaking, new-technology-looking team player, our team would be the right home base for you.  <br />                                                                            </p><p><strong><u>WHAT WILL YOU DO?</u></strong></p><ul><li>Commissioning, system testing and operation of Linux systems (Suse, Ubuntu, RHEL, Oracle Linux) on hardware as well as virtualization or container environments with the support of a tool chain</li><li>Use of existing automation tools, such as SuseManager, Salt or Rundeck</li><li>Develop and maintain automation scripts with tools such as Salt</li><li>Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of Linux-based systems</li><li>Perform troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning of Linux servers and their independent processing in complex cases</li><li>Processing of order and change measures</li><li>Integration of new customers into existing Linux operating environment as part of transition projects</li><li>Creation of Linux service descriptions and updating of documentation, e.g. CMDB, or Confluence</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar position</li><li>Linux administration (various distributions - Suse, Ubuntu, RHEL, Oracle Linux)</li><li>Scripting (e.g. Terraform, Bash)</li><li>Solid understanding of hardware (HP preferred)</li><li>High availability and clustering solutions (Pacemaker)</li><li>Understanding of AKS container performance and utilization parameters desirable</li><li>Docker / Kubernetes administration and container orchestration desirable</li><li>Icinga know-how desirable</li><li>Confident handling of the entire MS Office product range</li><li>Experience with ITIL processes</li></ul><p><strong>Languages:</strong></p><ul><li>English - Upper Intermediate (B2)</li><li>German – Upper Intermediate (B2)</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Desired Certifications:</strong><br /> The ideal candidate would hold or be willing to obtain some of the following certifications:</p><ul><li>LPIC-1 or equivalent Linux certification</li><li>LPIC-2 or equivalent Linux certification</li><li>LPIC-3</li><li>Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)</li><li>SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA) or SUSE Certified Engineer (SCE)</li><li>Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent</li><li>Terraform Associate or equivalent</li><li>ITIL Foundation certification</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth, innovation, and professional development.
