You will drive developer agility, scalability, and reliability across our global cloud environment through advanced automation and cloud-native engineering practices, with a strong focus on both Windows and Linux operating systems. Your work will be foundational to Coupas continued success as we scale for the future.</div><h3>What Youll Do</h3><ul><li>Lead, mentor, support, and grow a team of engineers specializing in operating systems, container base images, and platform pipelines.</li><li>Have an opportunity to work in a truly global organization with team members from around the world.</li><li>Architect, deploy, and support scalable and reliable operating system solutions for both Windows and Linux Platforms in a massive-scale public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, and GCP).</li><li>Work closely with partner teams across the broader organization, including Architecture, Security, Development, Quality Engineering, Compliance, and other Cloud Operations teams.</li><li>Maintain inventories of Images, Assets and proper processes for upgrades and compliance are created, communicated and executed.  </li><li>Lead a time in designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code, ensuring consistent and automated deployments across multi-cloud architectures.</li><li>Develop and apply relevant programming experience for automation frameworks and tooling for Windows and Linux environments.</li><li>Proactively identify and address areas of improvement and technical debt.</li><li>Oversee the management and administration of Windows and Linux-based servers.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide operating system and platform pipeline support and leadership to the Engineering organization.</li><li>Champion a development mindset, focusing on managing infrastructure as code, eliminating toil, and fostering a strong sense of accountability and service ownership for OS and pipeline components.</li><li>Evaluate, implement, and support performance, capacity, and availability monitoring tools for operating systems and platform pipelines, including Observability solutions such as New Relic, CloudWatch and other similar technologies.</li><li>Ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are met for Coupa infrastructure, including (FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA, SOC1/2), leveraging security tooling like Twistlock (now Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud).</li><li>Stay up to date with the latest developments in cloud operating systems, container technologies, tooling, and platform pipelines.</li><li>Partner with external vendors for tools selection, licensing, budgets, forecasts and business reviews.</li><li>Create roadmaps, plans and projects to deliver business outcomes using Jira</li><li>Generate good documentation including runbooks, designs and workflows.</li><li>Attend industry events.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation.</li><li>Occasional travel may be required to perform job functions</li></ul><h3>What You Will Bring to Coupa:</h3><ul><li>A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 5+ years of professional experience, including experience in a leadership or management role.</li><li>Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby).</li><li>An ability to solve complex problems with creative, well-thought-out solutions. </li><li>Strong runbook automation experience using Rundeck or equivalent tools.</li><li>In-depth, hands-on experience deploying cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CDK for Terraform, and CloudFormation, or extensive experience with Chef &amp; Ansible, specifically for OS and pipeline management.</li><li>Proven experience deploying infrastructure as code using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions/Workflows, or equivalent), incorporating artifact management with tools like Artifactory..</li><li>Expertise in the administration of both Windows and Linux-based servers.</li><li>Confidence in owning and delivering projects and issues to resolution, with a focus on large-scale cloud environments.</li><li>A passion for excellence, natural problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking, with a drive to understand and resolve complex issues.</li><li>A drive to change and improve the status quo of inefficient activities.</li><li>A solid understanding of system internals and protocols, particularly as they pertain to a public cloud environment, including security best practices and the use of tools like Twistlock (Prisma Cloud), Nexpose (InsightVM), or <a href="http://Tenable.io">Tenable.io</a>.</li><li>Security and certificate management experience, including familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools.</li><li>A desire to work in a collaborative and supportive work environment.</li><li><b>What Else You Could Bring to Coupa (not required):</b></li><li>Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, MS-SQL, and NoSQL databases.</li><li>Relevant operating system and cloud certifications.</li><li>Experience with DNS systems and services.</li><li>Experience working with global teams.</li><div><br /></div></ul><div>Coupa complies with relevant laws and regulations regarding equal opportunity and offers a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
