One Data Streaming Platform.Data Connects Us.About the Role:As a member of the Confluent Sales Team, the Account Executive, Digital Native Business is responsible for selling Confluent solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises. We expect you to use your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to effectively sell Confluent offerings to leading companies to meet and exceed your quarterly sales target. You must possess a hunter/closer mentality with a proven track record of success within a value-driven sales model.   What You Will Do:<ul><li>Responsible for driving revenue growth for large, diverse, complex territories</li><li>Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close a sales pipeline</li><li>Manage the entire sales process, and collaborate with team members in business development, customer success, and support</li><li>Participate in the development, presentation, and sales of a value proposition</li><li>Partner with Solutions Engineers &amp; Professional Services to ensure customer success</li><li>Liaises with customer contacts to manage customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and maximize sales</li><li>Responsible for understanding Confluent offerings and the competitive landscape</li><li>Travels to customer sites to identify/develop sales opportunities when required.</li><li>Ability to  negotiate SaaS/cloud/software contracts.   </li></ul>What You Will Bring:<ul><li>3+ years of field experience in a quota-carrying role focused on landing net-new logos</li><li>Prior experience in Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions</li><li>Previous sales methodology training (i.e. MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.)</li><li>Consistent track record of success and history of overachieving and hitting quota attainment</li><li>Exceptional  communication skills - written and oral including strong presentation skills</li><li>Excellent time management skills</li><li>High integrity, intelligence, self-driven, and team player</li><li>Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills</li><li>Open to Travel to customer locations as needed.</li><li>BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred. </li></ul><hr />Come As You AreAt Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $82,200 - $94,500, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay.
