EpiSci delivers unmatched speed, cost-efficiency, and scalability as the preferred partner for defense agencies and industry teams seeking mission-critical autonomy solutions.</p> <h2>About the role</h2> <p>In this role you will be integrating hardware and software onto vehicle platforms for testing autonomy algorithms in both a HIL/SIL and flight test environment.  Computer networking, code integration, and the ability to work hands on with integration of hardware and software is a must.  Multiple people with different backgrounds will be required to provide you hardware and software to integrate and you will be required to drive the schedule in order to meet customer deadlines.</p> <h2>At EpiSci, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Integrate software that operates on real autonomous aircraft systems including group 1-5 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as simulated models and more to accomplish tactical military missions</li> <li>Collaborate with autonomy engineers to integrate production C++ software</li> <li>System administration of embedded compute such as NVIDIA Jetson, Modal AI VOXL, Raspberry Pi, etc.</li> <li>Integrate embedded compute with UAS autopilot(s) such as Pixhawk (ArduPilot and/or PX4)​</li> <li>Integrate embedded compute with MANET radio(s)​</li> <li>Integrate embedded computer with sensing &amp; perception hardware such as:​EO/IR Camera Systems​, Radar/RF Systems</li> <li>Integrate autonomy software into hardware in collaboration with autonomy engineers that supports full integration with aircraft autopilots, datalinks, sensors, PNT/GPS/INS, ground control stations, etc.</li> <li>Support live flight test of autonomy software on group 1-5 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)</li> <li>Collaborate with 3rd party UAS vehicle vendors on the integration of EpiSci autonomy software onto OEM UAS hardware</li> <li>Collaborate with domain experts and prior DoD warfighters (ex. DoD fighter pilots) to build software autonomy solutions for military missions</li> </ul> <h2>Were looking for someone who has:</h2> <ul> <li>Experience integrating autonomy/robotics products onto embedded compute modules such as:​ NVIDIA Jetson, Modal AI VOXL, Raspberry Pi​</li> <li>Experience integrating autonomy/robotics products with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot and/or PX4)​</li> <li>Experience integrating with communication busses &amp; protocols:​UART/RS232/RS422/RS485​, SPI/QSPI​, I2C​, Ethernet</li> <li>General experience in C/C++, Python, Bash</li> <li>Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments, and using Linux-based operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu)</li> <li>Experience using git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube</li> </ul> <h2>Travel Requirements:</h2> <ul> <li>Must be willing to travel as projects require. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
