As a Field Applications Engineer, you are the bridge between product development groups and top automotive customers in EMEA. Your primary goal is winning new business though proactive in-depth design and development support that will solve customer challenges.In this role you will be responsible for impacting the customer solution with technology proposals from the early architecture phase via design and evaluation to mass production phase with special focus on power. Together with the customer’s engineering teams you will work on cutting edge automotive applications like e.g. solutions for autonomous driving or electrification.The Automotive FAE must be able to identify customer platform requirements (hardware and software) and work closely internally with Analog Devices Business Units. You will impact ADI’s automotive device roadmap and contribute to new product definitions together with ADI’s System Engineering. You will take ownership for driving the resolution of all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the design in sales process.The Automotive FAE must be able to build trust, establish and maintain strong relationships with Tier- 1 and OEM customers as well as ADI internal automotive Business Units. You would need to invest in your product and system level knowledge on an ongoing basis through the various training and development opportunities.In addition, the ideal candidate brings deep expertise in automotive power designs and a comprehensive understanding of modern vehicle E/E architectures, zonal concepts, and domain controller systems. You should be comfortable advising customers not only on power delivery but also how it interacts with the overall vehicle system — from energy storage and distribution to thermal and safety constraints.Your tasks<ul><li>Develop and maintain expert knowledge level for wide range of vehicle systems and sub system applications across multiple Tier1s.</li><li>Help the customer to design high performance solutions, for SDV, EV, and autonomous driving</li><li>Establishing and maintaining customer relationships, organize on-site visits to provide customer service and sales support</li><li>Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs</li><li>Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements identifying customers needs and translating them into specifications and/or design ideas for the automotive Business Units</li><li>Perform customers’ schematic and layout review in collaboration with the Business Units</li><li>Work jointly with customers in lab to support application debugging</li><li>Prepare Proof of Concept demos demonstrating to the customer the value added by ADI’s chipsets</li><li>Generate high-quality documentation such as technical presentation, application notes and meeting notes. Contribute to ADIs automotive device roadmap with the innovative device ideas</li><li>Consult customers during system architecture phase on optimal power distribution networks (PDN), centralized vs. decentralized power concepts, and fail-operational/fail-safe strategies</li><li>Actively contribute to system-level discussions regarding thermal management, EMI compliance, and energy efficiency of onboard and offboard power systems</li><li>Serve as internal expert for future vehicle trends such as software-defined vehicle (SDV), high-voltage platforms (48V/800V), and the impact on power subsystem designs</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills required<ul><li>BSc/BEng/MSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering</li><li>Profound knowledge of analog circuit design</li><li>Work experience &gt;10 years in engineering with semiconductor and/or automotive industries</li><li>Deep understanding of automotive E/E architectures, including zonal, domain-based, and centralized computing topologies</li><li>Strong background in design and integration of isolated/non-isolated DC/DC converters, pre-regulators, point-of-load regulators, battery management systems (BMS), and power management ICs (PMICs)</li><li>Profound understanding of power architectures and power electronic design experience</li><li>Good knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures</li><li>Good understanding of common digital interfaces as well as Analog principles like ADC/ DACs</li><li>Basic understanding of software design and its application with electronic embedded systems</li><li>Experience in using simulation tools like e.g. LTSpice - Excellent problem-solving skills</li><li>Curious nature and willingness to challenge the status Quo</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills as need to collaborate with global teams</li></ul><ul><li>Languages:  English (min.
