As part of a cross functional team, the Software Engineer performs definition, development, implementation and documentation of the device drivers and BSPs, support the harfware design team in testing, bring-up and debug; and provide technical support for our global customers.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Architect, create and maintain device drivers and software projects for embedded systems, processors, FPGA, and microcontroller-based platforms.</li><li>Develop software modules for integration into industry-standard automotive frameworks</li><li>Work in close collaboration with the hardware team for developing new platforms.</li><li>Provide customer support through Linux subsystem mailing lists and the ADI Engineer Zone forum.</li></ul>Essential Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE) or Computer Science (CS) with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design, implementation, and support of embedded device drivers and software.</li></ul><ul><li>Good experience with at least one of the following subsystems: IIO, V4L, ALSA, Ethernet</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C+​+, RUST,​ and shell scripting.​</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with SCM (svn, git), cross compiler and in-circuit debugging tools.​</li><li>Excellent software design, problem solving and analytical debugging skills.</li><li>Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems</li><li>Can work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions.</li><li>Ability to comprehend large and complex technical documentation.</li></ul>For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.Analog Devices is an equal opportunity employer.
