You’ll play a key role in improving processes, adopting best practices, and mentoring a growing team of accounting professionals. We’re building an inclusive work environment that is representative of the diverse industry we have the pleasure of serving and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.  What you’ll do: <ul> <li>Oversee and continuously improve the month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating checklists, reviewing team deliverables, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.</li> <li>Manage core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits, revenue recognition, and tax compliance.</li> <li>Lead the accounting team, providing coaching, support, and professional development to a growing group of accounting professionals.</li> <li>Manage the company’s equity incentive plans, including stock option grants and exercises</li> <li>Oversee revenue recognition and system integrations (NetSuite &amp; Stripe), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS 15.</li> <li>Prepare financial reports and variance analyses, delivering clear commentary on monthly business activity, key drivers, and trends </li> <li>Support the prompt resolution of technical accounting matters by preparing accounting memos.</li> <li>Coordinate the preparation of annual consolidated financial statements and act as a key contact for external auditors.</li> <li>Leverage AI-driven solutions to optimize accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.</li> </ul> What you bring: <ul> <li>CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting under IFRS or US GAAP in a tech, SaaS, or high-growth scale-up environment </li> <li>Strong analytical mindset with a track record of identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and driving impactful improvements</li> <li>2+ years of people leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable to high standards</li> <li>Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to translate financial insights into business impact for non-financial stakeholders</li> <li>High degree of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail, balanced with pragmatism and speed</li> <li>Collaborative and adaptable,  you build trust quickly, work cross-functionally with ease, and remain composed under pressure</li> <li>Growth-oriented mindset,  curious, resourceful, and committed to continuous improvement for both yourself and the business</li> </ul> It’d be even cooler if you had: <ul> <li>Experience with NetSuite</li> <li>Experience with restaurant operations or restaurant technology </li> </ul><div><div> Our commitment to our Shifties: <ul> <li>Opportunity: Our product is evolving in exciting ways, and we’re focused on delivering even more value to restaurants.
