We’re looking for a Staff Security Researcher to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Information Security, you will be responsible for: <ul> <li>Managing or leading complex security incidents in an Incident Commander role, within a PSIRT framework</li> <li>Acting as a central point of contact during incidents, facilitating quick decision-making and providing clear, accurate, and timely updates to internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Understanding of security concepts, including attack methodologies, product security bugs and vulnerabilities and exploitation. Collaborating with engineering, development teams, legal stakeholders, and external researchers for incident resolution</li> <li>Continuously monitoring alerts, vulnerabilities, and security reports, ensuring early identification of potential threats or risks</li> <li>Leading post-incident reviews, focusing on lessons learned, documentation, and implementation of preventative measures to strengthen long-term defenses</li> </ul> What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) <ul> <li>5+ years of cybersecurity experience, particularly in incident response or product security</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field like Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems</li> <li>Proficiency in security principles, secure coding practices, and protocols (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP)</li> <li>Hands-on experience managing security incidents, including malware and exploits</li> <li>Experience with SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and scripting tools like Python or PowerShell</li> </ul> What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) <ul> <li>Certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or related credentials</li> <li>Experience with SDLC (secure development lifecycle) and code reviews</li> <li>Advanced tools proficiency (e.g., EDR platforms, threat intelligence tools)</li> </ul> #LI-Remote #LI-CM3<div><div><div>Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level.
