What You Can Expect:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems/Lab Administrator with experiences in test automation to join our engineering team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for managing our testing lab infrastructure, supporting system configuration, and ensuring the stability and scalability of test environments. You will also work closely with test automation and DevOps engineers to support and extend automated testing frameworks and pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Lab Administration & System Administration
Set up, configure, and maintain physical and virtual test environments across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS, mobile, etc.)
Manage lab hardware, including provisioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
Ensure system and network reliability, security, and performance across lab environments
Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network issues in test labs
Maintain lab equipment inventory and ensure proper version control and system documentation.
Implement and monitor security practices, patch management, and backup procedures.
Setup and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
Perform Linux system administration and shell scripting tasks
Test Automation Support
Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
Support integration of automation frameworks with lab infrastructure
Work with developers and QA to identify and resolve system-level causes of test failures
Automate environment setup, system updates, and lab tasks
Technical Skills
Experience managing lab/test environments and hardware for software testing
Knowledge of OS platforms including Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS
Linux system administration expertise - command line proficiency, shell scripting, system configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity of Git, JFrog, Postman, and UI inspectors
Experience configuring CI/CD and Jenkins Pipeline
Familiarity of network protocols, VPNs, DNS, and firewall configuration
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, pytest)
Basic experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Nice to have Kubernetes expertise including troubleshooting and monitoring Kubernetes environments
What we’re looking for:
3+ years of lab and system administration experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in test automation and manual testing
Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) and documentation skills
Fast learner with self-initiative and a proactive mindset
Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Experience in FedRAMP or government environments is preferred
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$87,600.00Maximum:
$186,000.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
