As a Lead Software Engineer, youll work on high-impact, scalable services that support millions of users globally. Working closely with cross-functional teams, we design, build, and continuously improve services that make remote collaboration seamless. Our focus is on building secure, scalable systems and delivering high-quality user experiences<br />across devices.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Defining core Web Meeting/Webinar product requirements in partnership with product management and translating roadmap vision into detailed features and deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Leading and mentoring junior engineers, supporting professional development and encouraging a culture of continuous learning.</p></li><li><p>Establishing and maintaining engineering processes, best practices, and coding standards to ensure high-quality development.</p></li><li><p>Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, and building secure, scalable systems on cloud infrastructure (AWS, microservices, RESTful APIs, NoSQL).</p></li><li><p>Building responsive, adaptive customer-facing web interfaces that provide consistent user experiences across platforms.</p></li><li><p>Driving cloud-based test automation and deployment strategies using AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, ElasticCache) to optimize performance and ensure platform reliability.</p></li><li><p>Creating scalable metrics and dashboards to support business and technical insights.</p></li><li><p>Triaging critical customer issues and engaging in support as needed to resolve escalations effectively.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we’re looking for</b></p><ul><li><p>Have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or a foreign equivalent).</p></li><li><p>Have 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level web applications, including frontend/backend systems, APIs, and SDKs using Spring MVC or Spring Boot.</p></li><li><p>Have deep experience in Java development, including IO, concurrency, and mu ti-threaded programming.</p></li><li><p>Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and understand best practices for scalable, secure deployments.</p></li><li><p>Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.</p></li><li><p>Have led end-to-end development of large technical projects in collaborative environments.</p></li><li><p>Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.</p></li><li><p>Have the ability to think strategically while diving deep into technical detail to deliver meaningful solutions.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Salary Range or On Target Earnings:</b></p><p></p><p>Minimum:</p>$98 900,00<p></p><p>Maximum:</p>$228 700,00<p></p><p><span>In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications &amp; experience.</span></p><p></p><p><span>We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations</span></p><p><span>At Zoom, we offer a window of at least 5 days for you to apply because we believe in giving you every opportunity.
