About You and The Role
Zipline is seeking Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Maintenance Technicians who have sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills and high standards. Success will require attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.
What Youll Do
You will be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring the aircraft conforms to high standards, is in safe operating condition and that all procedures are followed and documented appropriately. Additionally you will be the local point of contact and technical expert for all QEW related queries and troubleshooting activities. As the local QEW you will be performing electrical installation, troubleshooting on existing existing equipment and the quality inspection of 3 party work prior to acceptance in accordance with all relevant standards and codes.
You will be expected to work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision. Your work will directly affect Zipline’s ability to improve and expand our service to people and communities across the world.
What Youll Bring
Basic Qualifications/Experience
- The attention to detail to adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
- Ability to perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
- Electrical trades background licensed in the state of Texas.
- Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical and software
- Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience
- Experience performing precision work with hand tools
- Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc.
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Must be able to travel 5 %- 10%, as necessary
- Will experience 80% + travel in first 3 months including offsite/remote training
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds
- Must have a valid US Drivers License
- Must be able to receive FAA Repairmen Certification
