This role will contribute to the architecting, evaluation, improvement, and support of system solutions that
utilize the organization’s application engineering portfolio. The Data Center and PBX Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Sync solution data center infrastructure and Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems, including the testing and synchronization of applications integrated with the PBX system. This role ensures that all data center operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high availability and reliability of communication Test systems.

 

This is a hybrid position where you will be required to come to the office a minimum of 3 days a week.


Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Center Management:

    • Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, storage, networking equipment, and environmental controls.
    • Ensure data center security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity.
    • Implement and oversee data center policies for resource allocation and usage.
  2. PBX System Administration:

    • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PBX systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
    • Manage user accounts, extensions, and call routing configurations.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for upgrades and support.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect communication systems from unauthorized access.
  3. Application Synchronization and Testing:

    • Develop and execute test plans for applications that sync with PBX systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
    • Work closely with developers and application teams to integrate and test new features and services with the PBX system.
    • Monitor synchronization processes and resolve any issues related to data consistency and integrity.
    • Document testing procedures and results, providing detailed reports to management.
  4. Solution Testing and Deployment:

    • Coordinate with IT teams to deploy new solutions and technologies in the data center and PBX systems.
    • Analyze and resolve technical issues related to data center and PBX infrastructure.
    • Document testing procedures and results, providing detailed reports to management.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on latest technologies and best practices in data center and telecommunication systems.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
    • Provide training and support to staff on data center and PBX operations.
  6. Work Environment:

    • The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to perform upgrades and maintenance.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
    • Hybrid work model with a combination of remote and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical engineering or in a related field is
    required
  • 2+ years of experience working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision
    solutions and commensurate knowledge of technology, products, and marketplace
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering concepts like schematics, wiring, hand tools,
    etc.
  • Knowledge of basic imaging concepts including how to set up cameras, lensing, lighting,
    filters, etc.

 

Preferred Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of – and experience with – coding languages like Python, Golang
  • PBX certifications a plus

Salary: USD 84400.00 - USD 126600.00 Yearly


Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
