The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Consulting serves as the strategic cybersecurity partner and advisor to Byte product teams. This role bridges the gap between enterprise cybersecurity objectives and business priorities, ensuring that security strategies are effectively integrated into business processes and development sprints. The Cybersecurity consultant leads efforts to manage cyber risk, drive security awareness, and support compliance across assigned business areas. Working closely with product, engineering, architecture, compliance, and leadership stakeholders, they will influence and implement cybersecurity strategies that enable innovation while protecting the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: <ol> <li>Cybersecurity Business Partnership: <ul> <li>Act as the primary cybersecurity liaison to Byte leadership, product teams, and engineering stakeholders.</li> <li>Build strong relationships with business executives to align security priorities with business objectives and risk appetite.</li> <li>Provide expert consultation on cyber risk, regulatory impact, and security-by-design principles for new initiatives, products, and services.</li> <li>Partner with product management, engineering, and architecture teams to ensure security is embedded in every phase of the platform lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and retirement.</li> <li>Participate in roadmap planning sessions to align security goals with product strategy.</li> <li>Review business and technical requirements to ensure early security considerations (e.g., data handling, compliance).</li> </ul></li> <li>Security Integration in Business Lifecycle: <ul> <li>Champion the embedding of cybersecurity into product lifecycles, digital transformation projects, and strategic planning efforts.</li> <li>Partner with engineering and architecture teams to review designs and promote secure development practices.</li> <li>Ensure security controls are operationally feasible and appropriately balanced with business goals.</li> </ul></li> <li>Cyber Risk &amp; Compliance Oversight: <ul> <li>Track remediation efforts for high-risk findings across the business unit, collaborating with responsible teams to ensure timely resolution.</li> <li>Support audit and compliance readiness by partnering with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.</li> <li>Guide business teams in identifying and managing third-party security risks.</li> </ul></li> <li>Stakeholder Communication &amp; Reporting: <ul> <li>Provide regular reporting on business unit risk posture, control maturity, and security metrics to leadership and governance bodies.</li> <li>Translate complex technical security issues into clear, actionable insights for business audiences.</li> <li>Foster a culture of collaboration by driving security awareness and training initiatives tailored to engineering and product teams.</li> <li>Facilitate cross-functional security workshops and check-ins.</li> <li>Serve as escalation point for security-related questions throughout the lifecycle.</li> </ul></li> <li>Leadership and Strategy: <ul> <li>Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity consultants and specialists, providing technical and strategic direction.</li> <li>Develop and maintain a cybersecurity consulting framework for consistent integration of security into projects and platforms.</li> <li>Influence long-term cybersecurity strategy by identifying opportunities for process improvement and technology adoption.</li> <li>Advocate for resource and budget allocation to address critical cybersecurity needs.</li> </ul></li> </ol> Qualifications: Education and Certifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.</li> <li>Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable.</li> </ul> Experience: <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or consultative role.</li> <li>Experience advising senior business stakeholders on security, compliance, and risk.</li> <li>Proven ability to integrate cybersecurity considerations into business and technology programs.</li> </ul> Knowledge &amp; Skills: <ul> <li>Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and OWASP.</li> <li>Understanding of modern technology platforms: cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps pipelines, APIs, and SaaS architectures.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of risk analysis, third-party security, and compliance management.</li> <li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.</li> <li>Ability to work in highly matrixed environments and lead cross-functional initiatives.</li> </ul> Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): <ul> <li>Reduction in risk levels across platforms over time (measured through assessments and vulnerability closure).</li> <li>Audit readiness and success rates across key compliance areas.</li> <li>Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement in cybersecurity programs.</li> </ul> Salary Range: $153,200- $180,300 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position.
