They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.</span></p></div><h3>About the Role</h3> <p>As an AI Tutor specialized in web design, you will contribute to xAIs mission by training and refining Grok to understand and generate high-quality web aesthetics, layouts, and user interfaces. Your work will improve Groks ability to assist users in creating visually compelling and functional websites, fostering innovation in AI-driven design tools and enhancing user experiences across digital platforms.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <p>You will use proprietary software to provide labels, annotations, and inputs on projects involving web layouts, visual elements, and design principles. You must support the delivery of high-quality curated data that ensures aesthetically pleasing and functional outputs. In this effort, you will collaborate with technical staff to develop tasks that improve AIs ability to handle web design concepts and best practices. You’ll also work with technical staff to improve annotation tools for efficient workflows.</p> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Demonstrated high proficiency in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.</li> <li>1-2 years of experience in web design, with a demonstrated high taste for aesthetics and website creation.</li> <li>Strong portfolio showcasing web design projects, highlighting visual appeal, user experience, and innovative layouts.</li> <li>Proficiency in evaluating design elements, such as color theory, typography, responsiveness, and UI/UX standards.</li> <li>Strong ability to reference design tools, trends, and resources for accurate annotations and critiques.</li> <li>Strong communication, interpersonal, creative, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Commitment to developing AI that excels in web aesthetics and design simulation.</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Advanced experience in UI/UX design, front-end development, or roles at design agencies or technology companies.</li> </ul> <h3>Location &amp; Other Expectations</h3> <ul> <li>This position is based in Palo Alto, CA, or fully remote.</li> <li>The Palo Alto option is an in-office role requiring 5 days per week; remote positions require strong self-motivation.</li> <li>If you are based in the US, please note we are unable to hire in the states of Wyoming and Illinois at this time.</li> <li>We are unable to provide visa sponsorship.</li> <li>Team members are expected to work from 9:00am - 5:30pm PST for the first two weeks of training and 9:00am - 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter.</li> <li>For those who will be working from a personal device, please note your computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.</li> <li>You must own and have reliable access to a smartphone.</li> </ul> <h3>Compensation</h3> <p>$45/hour - $100/hour</p> <h3><strong>Benefits:</strong></h3> <p>Hourly pay is just one part of our total rewards package at xAI.
