Our experts develop cutting-edge technology for the next-generation AD/ADAS platform, building components deployed to both cloud and vehicles. The team is responsible for the in-vehicle map servicing architecture, efficient processing of map data, and providing the map data to the AD/ADAS applications. We apply state-of-the-art technology, write high quality safety-critical code that gets deployed to production.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?</b></div><div>●<span>  </span>An experienced Senior Software Engineer with &gt; 5 years of experience.</div><div>●<span>  </span>Expert knowledge in writing modern, high-quality, safe, production ready software.</div><div>●<span>  </span>A great team player with passion to innovate and deliver products to internal and external customers..</div><div>●<span>   </span>Advanced experience in at least one of the following domains: Geospatial, Navigation systems, or Automotive development processes.</div><div><br /></div><h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><ul><li>Design, architect and implement components integrating map data throughout Autonomous Driving and post processing systems.</li><li>Integration and qualification of software modules in terms of safety, performance and computing resources.</li><li>Reviewing and approving deliveries according to the specifications, requirements and milestones.</li><li>Oversee, monitor and optimize computing budgets of the software stack.</li><li>Team mentorship, guidance, technical leadership and decision making.</li></ul><h3>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h3><ul><li>Experience in Python and software development best practices.</li><li>Strong experience in modern C++ development (C++14 or higher).</li><li>Experience with data modeling and specifications.  </li><li>Experience in designing software architectures and bringing them to production.</li><li>Strong communication and cross-functional dependency management skills.</li><li>Ability to independently make decisions based on project priorities and scope.</li></ul><h3>Nice to Haves</h3><ul><li>Experience in Automotive-related mapping applications, such as navigation or ADAS (NDS classic, <a href="http://NDS.Live">NDS.Live</a>, OpenDRIVE, ADASIS).</li><li>Familiarity with python libraries such as numpy, networkx, pandas.</li><li>Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.</li><li>Experience with build automation software, such as CMake or Bazel.</li><li>Experience working in large, distributed international teams.</li><li>Experience shipping Automotive software to production.</li><li>Basic level Japanese.</li></ul><div>For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $140,000- $230,000 a year.</div><div><br /></div><div>Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
