This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet’s flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud. </div><div><br /></div><div>This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota’s next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle.  </div><div><br /></div><div>This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced, prototyping environment. </div><div><br /></div><div><b>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?</b></div><div>As a member of the Products and Special Programs team, you will work on developing applications for a modern vehicle operating system and platform, focusing on utilizing LLMs and NLP for delivering unique product experiences in next generation vehicles.</div><h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><ul><li>We design, develop and deploy software for vehicles</li><li>We develop software modules which enable user interactions through natural conversations</li><li>Develop applications and software for both Linux and RTOS platforms</li><li>Fine-tune LLMs for domain-specific prompts and applications</li><li>Deploy and optimize LLMs for inference on edge AI hardware</li><li>Work closely with team members with different skill sets and expertise (designers, researchers), other teams, and external partners.</li></ul><h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3><ul><li>B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Strong experience in machine learning and deep neural networks</li><li>Experience using and building applications powered by LLMs</li><li>Experience with LangChain or similar LLM management frameworks is a plus</li><li>Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python</li><li>Multi-threaded, multi-core and multi-system programming is a plus</li><li>Software development for User Interfaces (IVI, IC) is a plus</li><li>Experience with expert systems and NLP processing a plus</li><li>Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&amp;D phase to a product</li><li>Good team player with great communication skills (making presentations)</li><li>Experience implementing computer vision or VLLMs in a system is a plus</li></ul><div>For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $140,000- $230,000 a year.</div><div><br /></div><div>Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
