Must be available to work Sunday through Friday from 11pm - 8am CST after initial training periodThe Senior Networking and Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer is responsible for working with both internal and external customers to ensure the functional usage of the Workiva platform from an authentication and networking perspective and requires a customer first attitude with the passion for enthusing our customer base. The role requires strong subject-matter expertise and a deep, rooted understanding of our technical stack to enable both reactive and proactive support, particularly in the areas of solution engineering and enabling resilience against performance and latency issues through trend analysis and implementation of best practices.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Own and deliver high-quality authentication and access management support services to our internal and external customer base</li><li>Lead by example as a true mentor to entry level engineers, setting the gold standard for IAM Engineer performance, through strong technical capabilities and exemplary individual contributions</li><li>Lead complex technical escalations from several channels in the area of Identity and Access Management where required</li><li>Work to limit and mitigate symptoms of authentication and authorization issues through both proactive and reactive troubleshooting and solution delivery efforts</li><li>Train, onboard, and develop Support new-hires in the areas of Identity and Access Management and Networking.</li><li>Deliver exceptional levels of support that may span across the broader Product Support team</li><li>Serve as a technical conduit between Workiva SME groups and Support Leadership in issue solution and request progression</li><li>Promote a culture of continuous improvement, in alignment with the departmental vision</li><li>Own, create and maintain technical process documentation in accordance with Workiva and industry best practices</li><li>Lead swarms with the team to provide on-the-spot coaching where required, and organize and lead daily sync sessions</li><li>Provide data-driven targeted delivery of training &amp; enablement to the Global Support teams where required</li></ul>What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications:<ul><li>4+ years of related career experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) support within a technology organization</li><li>Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience in a related role</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Authentication and security related certifications such as CIAM, Security+, CISSP, CISM, Okta Certified Professional, etc.</li><li>Experience with AWS, Azure (Entra ID), GCP, Sailpoint, Ping Identity etc.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting and managing proxies and cloud security solutions such as Zscaler and NetSkope</li><li>In-depth experience with networking devices such as firewalls, switches, and fabric interconnects</li><li>In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols, network diagnostic tools, and access control models</li><li>Prior knowledge and understanding of common information security management frameworks</li><li>In-depth experience with defining secure and hardened information technology solutions, including IAM services</li><li>Hands-on experience with modern and enterprise authentication patterns and platforms</li><li>Strong Acumen with SAML &amp; SCIM protocols to successfully integrate SSO and automate user provisioning in the Workiva platform with IdPs</li><li>Ability to interpret high level design documentation when troubleshooting latency to be able to isolate issues according to network blueprints aligned with business requirements</li><li>Experience and knowledge in diverse cloud security solutions</li><li>Project management framework knowledge and experience leading small to medium sized projects from idea to implementation</li><li>Strong technical capacity/attention to detail</li><li>High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity where required</li><li>Deep-rooted understanding of networking operating systems</li><li>Experience mentoring a small team of entry-mid level engineers</li><li>Proven change management skills; an ambassador for change with a focus on delivering results</li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, evolving environment</li></ul>Travel Requirements &amp; Working Conditions<ul><li>Must be available to work Sunday through Friday from 11pm - 8am CST after initial training period</li><li>Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a company office</li><li>Occasional requirement for travel for customer and internal meetings</li></ul>How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $74,000.00 - $118,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
