About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to contribute to a cross-functional team building transformative AI agents for HR & Finance. This role is crucial in implementing tooling strategies, staying informed about industry trends, and ensuring our AI-driven solutions integrate effectively within the Workday stack. You will be responsible for implementing AI frameworks and enterprise AI to design and develop scalable, reliable and trusted AI agents for both HR and Finance. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain scalable and reliable back-end systems using Python that power our Agentic applications 

  • Develop and maintain APIs that connect services and power our agentic and intuitive front-end features 

  • Build and maintain front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React

  • Design and implement LLM-powered agent orchestration systems that integrate data and workflows 

  • Take ownership of features from concept to delivery applying judgment and customer empathy to create unique product experiences 

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to plan, estimate, and deliver projects on time

  • Ensure code quality through test-driven development, monitoring, and best practices in DevOps and security

  • Participate in design reviews, contribute architectural insights, and mentor junior team members

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven experience in software engineering

  • Strong experience in back-end development using languages like Python, Kotlin, or Java

  • Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Vue

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Other Qualifications

  • Knowledge of database technologies like MySQL, Elastic, Redis

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and development best practices

  • Experience mentoring junior developers, leading code reviews, and providing constructive feedback.

  • Experience driving cross-team dependencies and projects.

  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

  • Understanding of security best practices and protocols for enterprise software applications

  • Superb communication skills. Ability to articulate sophisticated technical ideas

  • Highly motivated to move at speed with a strong sense of ownership


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
