Job Purpose
We are looking for a Mid-Level Frontend Developer to join our Nutrition+ Team. You will focus on creating fast, accessible, and delightful user interfaces for our web experience bundled in Samsung Health app. Your work will span feature development, iterative improvements to existing flows, and collaboration of our shared components library. You’ll work along with other Frontend engineers and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship user-centric features that scale to millions of users around the world.
As for our tech stack, we use:
- TypeScript (ES2023), React.
- State & Data: Preact Signals, MobX.
- Styling: CSS Grid & Flexbox.
- Architecture: Feature-Sliced Design & OOP principles.
- Tooling & Build: Vite / Webpack 5, Storybook, ESLint + Prettier.
- Testing: Jest / Vitest.
What you’ll do:
- Ship product features end-to-end: break down requirements, decompose big tasks, develop UI/UX with Figma mocks, implement components in React, write Unit tests.
- Maintain & evolve our component library and design system, ensuring visual and behavioral consistency across Samsung Health experiences.
- Champion performance by measuring Core Web Vitals, eliminating regressions.
- Supervise code quality through code reviews and proactive refactoring to reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, QA, product, and design to scope work, surface trade-offs, and deliver on quarterly OKRs.
- Support releases & incident response by monitoring dashboards, triaging bugs, and fixing issues when they arise.
Required Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
- 2 - 5 years of professional frontend development, with 2+ years of building React applications using TypeScript.
- Proven ability to write clean, modular, and strongly-typed code (generics, utility types, unions).
- Deep knowledge of modern CSS (Grid, Flexbox, Layouts) and responsive design principles.
- Practical experience with component-driven development (Storybook or similar) and design systems.
- Understanding of Agile/Kanban processes
- Hands-on experience with unit testing.
- Familiarity with performance tooling (Lighthouse, React DevTools Profiler).
- Working proficiency in English and Korean
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, webview integrations
- A public GitHub profile or code sample demonstrating recent React/TypeScript work.

- Excellent async communication — you document decisions and unblock teammates across time zones.
- Strong collaboration mindset: You give and receive constructive feedback and prioritize team success.

- Willingness to share your knowledge and experience with the team members, take part in technical discussions.
Terms of Engagement;
- We are a remote-first company, but this role may require being on-site 1–2 days a week to collaborate with our partners at Samsung Digital City in Suwon, South Korea, depending on project needs.
- 40 hours per week, contract-based (long-term)
