Were looking for talented teammates who’ll help us maintain strong teamwork and are passionate about driving results.</p> <p>In this hybrid role, you will report to a Systems Test Engineering Manager, Structured Testing.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop the high level strategy for vehicle platform and new feature validation and issue discovery.</li> <li>Work closely with the Waymo program and product leads to identify technical risk areas and develop novel test campaigns to identify issues and performance gaps prior to implementation.  </li> <li>Work with Waymo leadership to develop clear tracking and communication methods for issues identified during validation and discovery testing to ensure that they are appropriately addressed and that fixes have been implemented.   </li> <li>Design test procedures to quickly identify and surface new and novel system issues more efficiently than utilizing public roads mileage collection.   </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8 years of validation and testing experience with at least 3 years of developing accelerated issue discovery test campaigns.  Experience developing new and novel test methodologies to quickly identify performance issues in complex systems.  (Automotive, aerospace  or adjacent) </li> <li>High level AV or automotive domain knowledge that will allow the candidate to hit the ground running and accelerate ongoing and new platform development projects from day one.</li> <li>Experience leading a large Engineering project and coordinating with project leadership while providing clear direction to Engineers executing testing.  </li> <li>Experience in physical testing of automobiles or autonomous vehicles. CANalyzer, Robotic Test Platforms, JIRA, Data Acquisition. </li> <li>Ability to develop and train others to develop automated test campaigns.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>We prefer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with accelerated discovery test campaigns.  (Accelerated durability, ADAS mileage, brake controls, etc.) </li> <li>Experience using Jira for test campaign management and reporting</li> <li>Experience with physical hands-on testing of Autonomous Vehicles.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and experience developing verification coverage plans from system level requirements. </li> <li>Experience working closely with vendors providing engineering or testing services. </li> <li>Proficient in Python and SQL</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Travel Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>25% travel to support:  Meeting with OEM partners at their development facilities, traveling to Waymo’s test tracks and proving grounds to support test campaigns.</li> </ul><div><div><div><p><span>The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
